Coisas simples

Não sei se é do Verão, se por toda a gente estar de férias (MENOS EU!!!) ando com pouca vontade de fazer coisas complicadas... mas, ao mesmo tempo, não me apetece estar parada.
Por isso, decidi fazer algumas coisas simples :)
Comecei por fazer este cone em linho, aproveitando um quadrado de tecido que me tinham oferecido:

Como foi o 1º que fiz, decidi ficar com ele :)

Acho que são óptimos para guardar pequenas coisas. o meu vai ficar no atelier com as canetas coloridas. Como gostei do resultado, decidi compor um presente de aniversário que estava atrasado e fiz um conjunto de 2, em azul e verde. E parece que a L. gostou do presente ;)
Não ficam giros, assim a fazer conjunto?
Acho que vou fazer vários para mim. Sempre me queixei de deixar passar a época natalícia sem ter um calendário do advento, e acho que vários cones destes servirão perfeitamente. Não acham?

Entretanto, decidi fazer esta bolsa, que me parecia tão fácil de fazer. Pois... parecia... mas não foi bem assim. Vi-me "grega" para acertar com o forro, que ficou muito grande. Usei este tecido que adoro [e já está a acabar :( ] e para o forro usei um giríssimo oferecido pela Luisinha, que tem as mesmas cores e combina na perfeição! Desculpem-me, mas nem tive coragem para mostrar o interior por estar tão largueirão :D

Esta ficou para mim também!

Carteira # 50

Eu sei que tinha prometido que a carteira #50 seria oferecida. Mas como não sou muito boa com números (que ninguém lá no emprego me oiça), houve mudança de planos. A carteira #51 será oferecida, e em condições muito especiais! Em princípio vou fazer coincidir esta oferta com o meu aniversário, que se aproxima, e sinceramente, espero que gostem da ideia.
Bom, mas voltando à carteira #50, foi feita porque houve quem ficasse muito triste de não ter chegado a tempo à #46. Foi uma questão de minutos. Por isso, T., aqui está ela. Se gostares é tua, se não, é de quem a apanhar :)
É feita com tecidos Amy Butler, em tons de laranja, azul e verde. Combinando o maravilhoso royal garden com o oxford stripe, ambos da linha Belle.

Perguntei à unazukin* se a T. iria gostar e ela respondeu-me que sim :)

Manias

Depois de muita procura - sem sucesso - pela entretela perfeita, aquela que eu gosto e costumava usar, finalmente (re)encontrei-a.

After a long (unsuccessful) search for the perfect interfacing, the one that I like and used to buy, I finally found it (again).

Não sei se se passa o mesmo convosco. Eu quando gosto de uma marca, ou de um determinado tipo de material, dificilmente me habituo a outro...

Do you have the same problem? When I like a brand or a specific tipe of material, it is so dificult to get use to another...

Claro que durante os vários meses em que a procurei sem a encontrar, confesso que experimentei outras... umas mais rijas, umas demasiado "molengas"... umas de coser, outras de colar... mas nenhuma entretela é como esta que eu tanto gosto.

However, since I couldn't find it for a few months, I had to try some others... Some too stiff others too flimsy... iron-on or sew-in interfacing... but none like the one I love.

A minha mãe deve estar a rir a bom rir, lá em cima, só por eu estar a dedicar um post inteiro à entretela! Onde já se viu? Sim, porque a minha mãe nunca me conheceu a costurar. Cá em casa quem costurava era ela. E, sejamos sinceros... um post sobre entretela?... sobre tecidos bonitos, ou antigos, peças feitas por mim, ainda vai, mas um post sobre entretela???

My mumm is probably laughing, with this interfacing dedicated post :) Isn't that strange? My mumm never knew me as a sewer. She was the sewer. And let's be honest... as interfacing post??? if it was a post about beautiful fabrics, vintage fabrics, sewn pieces, that'd be ok, but interfacing???

A verdade é que os tecidos, por muito bonitos que sejam, e as peças, por muito bem feitas que sejam, por vezes perdem a graça toda se não forem bem acompanhadas pela entretela perfeita!

But the truth is that a beautiful fabric and a very well sewn piece can loose all the fun without the perfect interfacing!

Como cheguei à conclusão que não posso viver sem ela, abasteci-me com uns valentes metros que certamente me vão durar até ao ano novo :)

Since I can't live without it, I've decided to buy a generous amount of this perfect interfacing that will certainly last untill next year :)

Beach house

This little fabric house is for a swap. The swap theme is birds & houses and these are my favorite subjects.

I'm still waiting for some gorgeous fabrics I bought (with birds, houses and... birdcages).

I've also bought a gorgeous kitchen towell with birds. I hope my swap partner likes my parcel. I know I'd love it :)

For the fabric house I've chosen a gougeous linen with red stripes with an aqua roof.

Isn't it cute?

I love that little fish in the side tag. In the back I've sewn a white seahorse.

And I've carved a birdhouse stamp. Well, at least I tried :)

One of the fascinating things of blogging (and "flickring") is the fact that some times I make new friends (I've made a few good friends here) and know some nice persons, discover wonderful blogs and, most of the times, I "follow" some blogs and flickr pages that I love.

Há uns meses atrás comprei um pouco deste tecido para fazer uma mala preta para mim. Andava há que tempos para fazer uma mala em preto, porque a única que tinha é de inverno e agora não apetece...

Some time ago I bought some of this fabric with the intent of making a handbag to myself.

Quando mostrei o tecido no flickr, surgiu logo uma amiga interessada. Fiz esta mala para a L. É reversível e tem 2 bolsos grandes.

When I posted the picture of the fabric on Flickr, a friend of mine asked me if I could use it to make her a bag, and I've made this reversible one:

Uns tempos depois, fui comprar mais tecido, porque o que tinha sobrado, não era suficiente para fazer outra mala. Comprei logo um pouco mais do que costumo comprar...

Fiz esta, com um forro preto de bolas brancas. Mas mal coloquei foto no flickr, ainda nem tinha escrito que era para mim, a C mostrou-se interessada e ficou com a mala :)

É um daqueles tecidos que gosto tanto que não queria "estragar". Fiz esta mala para mim, afinal também mereço.O forro é às pintinhas e tem dois bolsos internos, para melhor organizar as minhas "tralhas" ;)
Ainda me sobrou algum deste tecido, agora é decidir o que mais vou fazer com ele...
